Cops: School volunteer paid girl to take sexual photos | News

Dunedin, Florida -- A Pinellas County Schools volunteer was arrested after detectives discovered he had been taking sexually explicit photos of a 12-year-old girl.

Pinellas deputies say 29-year-old Steven Andrews of Dunedin would pay the girl $100 to dress up in outfits and he would tie her up and gag her in the photographs. Detectives say this occurred between August 2011 and February 5, 2012 on at least three different occasions at his home on Roanoke Street.

Andrews worked part-time at the Child's Nest Daycare Center, in Tampa, and as a volunteer for Pinellas County Schools at Dunedin Middle and Dunedin High School and detectives believe there are more victims.

At this time, detectives are asking that anyone with additional information on Andrews contact Detective Dennis Garvey of the Crimes Against Children Unit at 727-582-6200.

Andrews was arrested Tuesday night and is currently charged with three counts of Sexual Performance by a Child.
